ABOUT

The Murfreesboro Inner City Ministry is an independent ministry founded (1986) and funded by several churches of Christ including North Boulevard, Kingwood, Salem Creek, and several others in Rutherford County. North Boulevard continues to provide human resources and financial support to this great ministry.

BUSING PROGRAM

For years, the Inner City Ministry has invited parents to send their children to our learning centers where they can learn about Jesus Christ, ask questions, receive mentoring, and have other spiritual needs met. We send out our buses on Mondays and Thursday nights to provide free transportation for children ages 3-18, making it easier for their parents. The busing program runs concurrently with Murfreesboro City Schools Calendar.

The Inner City Ministry has become a multi-generational ministry through the decades. Many of the children who have participated in the Inner City Ministry have grown up to become God-fearing adults, and their children are now riding our buses, too!

Summer Camp

• 3 weeks every summer at Hy-Lake Christian Camp 

• for children and friends from our Inner Cities who went through the Inner-City Ministries programs throughout the school year

• Opportunities for mentoring and chaperoning

Christmas Toy Drive

• Several nights in early December each year

• The nbyg and other NB members collect toys and winter coats to give to the children in the program

• Children and parents from the Inner City are invited to come enjoy a Christmas celebration of the yuletide season and the birth of Jesus Christ
